Happy Holidays 2009

I hope you all are having a wonderful holiday season. Enjoying the time well spent with friends and family. This is the best part of Christmas... to me!  My mom, her husband, and my aunt travelled from Sebring to celebrate with us. We all had a wonderful time cooking, eating, and reminiscing of times past :)

Me, my mom, and my brother Keith

Me & Doug (my cousin)

Doug is a Lifeguard and had to work Christmas Eve and Christmas Day (can you believe it?!!)  So I picked him up from the beach and brought him straight to the festivities. He loved my yam casserole that I made. What a compliment!

I am looking forward to New Years Eve :)

Toy Dog Club Specialty Show Pics

We all had a good time! Beautiful dogs, vendors, friends to visit, soo much going on!  All of the raffles.... not good for me. I never win raffles! So I had a brilliant idea to put all my raffle tickets on a dog bed filled with toys over at the SouthEast FL Cocker Specialty and I lost. Just my luck! Then I bought more tickets, put all of those tickets in our raffle on a pink bed for Bella Dora, and Kim did not pick any of my tickets. Lovely. I was watching the gorgeous Cockers at the same time Chihuahuas were being shown so unfortunately I was unable to get pictures. However, I was able to get a few pictures during the show and several of the Shih Tzu breed ring.

Robin Comer, Joyce Soloway, and me :)

We are having way too much fun :)

Here is Joyce ring stewarding.

Sheltie Holiday Bling Ornament

I love the way this turned out. Gold glitter really sparkles and sets a nice background for this charming Sheltie head study!  Surrounded by colorful beads, candy cane, and my handmade ornament hanger.

I'll be at the palette this week painting up some more goodies!

XOXOXO

Gingerbread Christmas

Did you know that a cookie can be art?  We're having a Gingerbread Christmas! I am painting ornaments for my own tree as well as breed ornaments for my customers. I am decorating my personal tree in the gingerbread theme. Here is a cutie I just finished. I also made the ornament hanger. Its a ginger girl with a candy cane!

Check out this cute sign I just finished :)

I love the way this turned out...  My pink roses and sweet gingerbread girls! Who knew a cookie could become an art theme?

The pics from K9 Octoberfest!

It was such a HOT day for October that my jeans actually stuck to me!  It was rather miserable but hey, good food always makes me feel sooo much better :)  We celebrated Rita (she is my closest friend and shows Yorkies,) my birthday, as well as Caren (Rita's sister) birthday in the Disney Princess theme as usual. All three of us are Scorpios that love Disney Princesses!

Shih Tzu Recipe Box

Here is an adorable recipe box I just finished. First I stained it with an oak stain, painted the top and bottom border a deep burgundy, then white polka dots.  I then painted a pair of my folk art Shih Tzu on the lid.  Just waiting for all of those yummy recipes!!

Custom orders are always welcome :)

Thanks for visiting!

Happy Fall

I painted this long coat Chihuahua on a shabby piece of timber. I can't let anything go to waste...LOL! Okay, I took the picture before adding the ribbon hanger because the lighting was too good to pass up for capturing my art. I am so ready for cooler temps too. As always, custom orders are welcome!

Blessings...

I painted Shelties playing in the meadow on this solid piece of timber. Very cheerful! Our dogs are such blessings to us each and every day. This painting went to a wonderful home full of Shelties!

Hand Painted Cocker Pin Brush

I just made this brush last week. A Cocker Spaniel with red roses and a paw print on the handle. I put my initials on it too. I love black & tan Cocker Spaniels. They are my favorite! I will have one again someday....

Bliss

Here is a photo of Bliss in the grooming area at the show. Unfortunately she is a buff that blows coat and was patterned out at 8 months of age. However, it doesn't take away from her attitude. Bliss is such a fun dog to show! She really enjoys being in the ring. My son showed her because we had a ring conflict and I had to be in the Shih Tzu ring at the same time Cockers were being shown. The Judge commented to my son "you showed her better than who ever it was that had her in Group yesterday." Obviously, not only is Devon a good groomer, he presents a dog very well too!

My new brush!

I just painted this brush for my own dogs (to use at the dog shows.) I think it turned out pretty good! Of course purple roses to match the bow :)

Gabrielli

Gabrielli is from Knapp Shih Tzu in Brazil. She has nice structure and a very pretty face. Gabrielli was practically born with a show lead on, she trained that easily! She is the only one of our Shih Tzu that requests to sit on my lap.... a true lap dog! She is also one of my jogging partners, this girl has amazing energy!

Sassy & Me

My favorite month to start the dog show season is March. We have local back-to-back shows that I never miss for anything! During the WPB Shows I was babysitting a sweet little show Chihuahua over the weekend for my friend.

Sassy and me :) Isn't she soo cute?!!

Toy Dog Club Spring Fling

The Spring Fling was a big hit! We had a Match, Costume Contest, and a Sled Dog presentation. I brought along my two Chihuahuas because it was a hot day and they have less hair...LOL! I took a few pictures before the dogs went into the ring. We had several vendors and yummy food. Friends, food, shopping, dogs.... what could be more fun?

Bella Dora and Tommy in their stroller. Aren't they too cute?!!

Here is a Chihuahua that was dressed as a Harley Davidson Biker!

I'm here holding Bella Dora along with Robin Comer and her dog Cozette (a Papillon)

Here is the newest Maltese painting. I made this for Valentine's Day. I really like the way it turned out. It went to a good home!
